I love this case! I was skeptical about the durability and if it would be as pretty in person, and it turns out to be as I had hoped. The foil doesnt scratch off, it fits perfectly and its sturdy. The foil or shiny part is silver in the dark and holographic in the sun. For all the reviews saying it doesnt come up over the edges...it does, but if you have a screen that is rounded like the newer samsungs then the case has to be consistent with the way the screen is shaped. It does rise above the edges on the bottom and top of the phone, but not on the sides of my Galaxy S8, which is the way its supposed to be. Otherwise you wouldnt be able to use the sides on your phone...duh lol. I've dropped it a couple times and theres been no dings or screen cracks. I wish they would make a matching holographic card holder for the case! I know they have matching ring holder, but maybe in the future they could make both?? I would hate to get a card holder that hides any of this beautiful case, but I may have to since I'm addicted to phone case card holders. If If I dont have to take my whole purse anywhere I don't. Also the buttons work seamlessly, it just takes some getting used to. For the people that are dissapointed with some velvet caviar cases that dont have any "shininess", you have to make sure that it has foil. The blue opal and cotton candy do not have foil. If it says something like silver and marble, or rose gold or holo...those have the shininess you're looking for. Hope this helps for those of you struggling to spend the 30 bucks like I did, I think this case is definitely worth it. I felt extra for a hot minute and then got over that real quick ??
