These are my favorite kind of winter breeches. They are warm enough for riding when it is 15-30 F (which is about as cold as I’m willing to ride). They don’t completely stop the wind, but do significantly cut it, which helps a lot in the winter! They hold up fairly well to regular washing and have good grip through the full seat. The place that shows wear first is the side pocket for my phone — the edge if my phone makes a line that looks worn and a bit grubby fairly quickly. But I’m grateful to have the phone pocket and wouldn’t trade it. They only have the one side pocket (on the right), unlike Kerrits summer breeches. After the side pocket, wear starts to show in the knees. But the three pairs of these breeches that I have have lasted at least two winters with multiple rides a week in them.
